Mike’s Workout of the Month: Basic Leg Strength

Mike’s Training Tips & Workout of The Month:

Keep a fitness journal. Keep track of what you do during your workout, how many sets/reps you perform for each, and the amount of weight used. Doing so will not only help you remember what you did last and know when to increase intensity or volume but also see how much progress you’ve made even if you don’t notice any changes.

Workout of the month: Basic leg strength

In the gym:

Goblet or barbell squat 4×6

Hack Squat 4×8

Walking lunge 3×12

Leg curl 3×12

Calf raises 3×12

At Home:

Split squats 4×8

Box/chair Squat 4×8

Side Lunges 3×10

Glute Bridge 3×12

Elevated calf raises 3×12
