Our ski shop team went out to Denver, Colorado last week for the Snowsports Industries America Show. The SIA Show brings together the top brands in the industry with buyers and reps from all over the country. Read on for some of the highlights.

As more and more mobile users turn to apps to find the information they want and need, we have compiled a list of the best apps for our customers. The following are a few apps per department to help out with the many activities that Alpin Haus customers enjoy!

Staying fit and healthy is a big part of our lives here at Alpin Haus. As the new year begins, we know that many of our extended family of customers are setting goals to get in shape for 2013.  As a business with seven different departments, recreation is our specialty, and along with that comes staying active. We’ve split up this guide into each of our departments to show you how you can have fun and get in shape this year! 

Each January we here at Alpin Haus support the Learn to Ski and Snowboard initiative along with our friends throughout the snow sports industry. The initiative poses the perfect opportunity for those who have not had a chance to try out skiing or snowboarding to hit the slopes. Many places in our area and throughout the Northeast offer special programs. A full list of all of the participating mountains can be found here as well as more information on the program.

Here is a list of the ski mountains in the area and when they will be open.  Keep in mind that depending on weather conditions ski resort openings could be open early or be delayed.  Make sure give a call or check the mountain's website for updated information on ski trails and lifts.

Custom footbeds are inserts for your ski boots.  They are molded to bring the foot in sync with the gravitational force of the skeletal system.  Custom footbeds will relieve the fatigue and soreness that one can normally experience while skiing.
