ALPIN HAUS NAMED 2006
TOP QUALITY DEALER OF THE YEAR
Fairfax,
VA – Alpin Haus, with locations in Amsterdam, Clifton Park, and
Saratoga, NY, was named RVDA’s 2006 Top Quality Dealer of the Year on
Sept, 28, during the association’s annual meeting held in conjunction
with the RV Dealers International Convention/Expo featuring the RV
Learning Center in Las Vegas, NV. Owner Bud Heck, Vice President Andy
Heck, and Boat Sales Manager Greg Heck were on hand to accept the award.
A
family-owned business, Alpin Haus began as a ski shop in 1964. Founder
Bud Heck and his partner (a childhood friend) generated revenue in the
summer months by adding RVs to their product offerings. Now, RVs
account for about 85 percent of all sales at Alpin Haus’ three
locations. In 1992, Bud convinced his sons Andy and Greg to buy out the
previous investor and become partners in the company.
Andy Heck
attributes a lot of his success to his staff, other dealers who have
helped him along the way, and his business partners. “We have an
awesome team that truly wants to make a difference in the RV industry,”
he said during the annual meeting. “Our vendors, finance partners, and
consultants are all key parts to our success. We are honored to join
this elite group and proud to receive this award.”
Along with
being a contributor to the RVDA Education Foundation’s RV Learning
Center, Andy Heck is an active participant in an RVDA/Performance 20 Group
and REDEX.
The
Top Quality Dealer of the Year Award recognizes RV dealerships that,
through their professionalism, promote a positive image of RV travel,
RV dealers, and the RV industry at large.
Any RVDA member
full-service RV dealership is eligible for nomination. Judging for the
award focuses on customer satisfaction, sales, financial status,
facilities, association and community service, and responsiveness to
adversity. Past recipients of the award selected this year’s Top
Quality Dealer of the Year.
RVDA, the National RV Dealers
Association, is the national association representing RV retailers. The
association's members include RV dealers, RV rental operators, and RV
AfterMarket sales and service locations.
